Tots Pots Storytime
Painting Sessions Especially for Pre-Schoolers
Story listening can contribute to children's intellectual, emotional and social development. Listening skills improve, and children can project themselves into the characters and imagine themselves in the story. Not only does storytelling help children to develop a vivid imagination, it helps with creativity skills. One way of helping the story listener to remember and comprehend the story is to paint something relating to the book.
In our TOTS POTS sessions, children listen to a story then paint a pottery character or item from the story. We finish with juice and biscuits and tea/coffee for grown ups.
If there are any stories that are your family favourites, please let us know and we'll see if we can incorporate them.
Spaces are limited so the best way of reserving a spot is to telephone 01332 695181 or call into the studio.
£7.50 per Tot
All sessions run for approx. 45mins to an hour. You are welcome to stay on afterwards to paint extra items in our general painting sessions without incurring a studio fee.
Our studio space is quite small so unfortunately we don't always have room for pushchairs in the shop during these events.
At particularly popular sessions, we may not have room for more than one adult per Tot.
